Nothing says sweet summer in full bloom as much as a summer floral dress!We wore bold red Floral Skater dress with tiny bits of yellow,green and white florals .We paired the dress with leather brogues and Tan Messenger Bag that makes you look  like the queen of the garden party,this summer.Bright colors and small print florals with tan colored accessories is sure to turn some heads around as you head for the Sunday summer  brunch.We kept the foliage look minimal yet edgy  by sporting a tied up hairdo with green scarf and a confident stride as we head tor Sunday summer brunch!

Summer Time Madness-Converse Shoes

Summertime in the city,sometimes it makes it too hot and taxing to think and come up with outfit ideas!So this week we play captain cool with cool breathable outfits that are easy to co-ordinate,practical to wear and have an element of style to it!
We decided to play around with an accessory that is almost a century old and fun to sport and gives off relaxed and cool summer vibes!Featuring the quintessential footwear staple –Converse shoes/the Classic Chuck where we sported 2 looks to play casual cool this summer and look stylish even as you dress down in those classic cool chucks!

Look 1-Ultimate Dress Down look

For the first look we play it down with stripe print knee length dress in stretch fabric that speaks comfy casual and paired it with cool wayfarers ,classic grey converse to complete the daytime casual look!The trick is to play it cool with accessories like the wayfarers and a statement gold ring that are minimal yet catch the eye.
Beat the heat and stay upbeat with a fun hair do(we went for soft messy curls)or sport a high raised pony for a sleek look and if you are in bit of rock star mood,add a sequined leather jacket or blazer to get a punk look!

For the second look we opted for Checks Red Crop Shirt and high waist Black Skinnies.The outfit combination with White converse shoes and tinted aviators gives it a sweet downtown look. The high waist skinnies and crop top look with converse is the perfect off duty look that creates an element of height and is comfortable as you run through your daily errands. The crop top and Converse look can also be paired along with denim shorts for those super hot afternoons!

Summer Color Crush-Coral

Flirting with hues this summer,we bring to you this week’s post as we enjoy the poppy color addition to the wardrobe-Coral.Somewhere in the middle between shades of pink and orange  is coral, a criminally fun color that we opted for our next outfit inspiration!

Coral as a color scored a brownie point for us since it is versatile and goes well with so many colors that helps you to put together multiple outfits be it the with the blue denims (for casual look),  black or beige pants(for work wear combinations) or white (for the love of summer).

The playful,color bursting palette featured in the post was inspired by lanes of Bandra(off Hill Road) with fun graffiti and street art .

The featured first look goes well for laid back,playful summer look that catches the eye and has a happy radiant vibe to it.

For the second look, we added denim’s lightweight cousin, the chambray shirt as a layer and paired with ripped denims & you are set for evening times or when you head outdoors, the layer protects you from the scorching heat. The Coral  peeps out well admist the softer blue denims and chambray shirt.

The maxi by itself being a statement piece we kept  the focus on skirt than the top for simple summery and effortless casual day look.

We paired a solid navy maxi  skirt (sheer towards bottom)with every day t-shirt (we liked the grey and navy combination)and added a rhinestone neckpiece and a pair of platform wedges to get an elongated streamlined look that balances out the proportions very well. One can also try color blocking with brighter and striking hued top with dark solid hues for striking summer look or one can even pair a light hued lace blouse and maxi  for more feminine look.

For the second look we opted for more unified look that was sharper and literally was effortless and can be put together in a jiffy!The monochrome look along with pairing of darker hued skirt and sheer part at the bottom of the skirt that hides away yet shows the ankles gives a taller leaner look.We complete the look with a pair of t-strap sandals and kept a soft messy hair up-do and carried a black envelope clutch .

Happy Weekend at The Lil Flea

Chirpy Summer mood, breezy evening, good live music, beautiful lights,discovering art,culture and talented curators with quirky and fun merchandise,all put together sums up our weekend happiness indulge!

We happened to attend the happiest flea market in town at Bandra on Friday evening called “The Lil Flea”. The flea market turned a year old and happens to sport good mix of art, shop, food and music and a platform for hosting almost 200+ pop up stalls that sell various kinds of merchandise from quirky to personalized to artsy products across fashion, lifestyle,food and home.The over all arrangement and the look and feel gives you happy moments as you stroll pass the colorful floral garden bike to the cozy swings and seats across the stage ,beautiful lights,live pleasing music,various pop up stalls set up with enthusiasm and excitement  under colorful tents put across the venue and you get to shop and witness numerous talented  curators,start-ups and their merchandise and their online presence!(the most repeatedly heard question across the stalls-do you sell online?)Phew!The flea was quite positively over whelming for us and a different weekend hangout experience making us appreciate the efforts and intentions that made up for such fun time at the flea.

We managed to visit all the stalls twice or some even thrice to get a glimpse and shop interesting product offerings be it the the quirky prints that seemed quite popular across stalls across different products, or personalized fun merchandise from lamps to hanging  lights ,interesting bookmarks, trendy handbags, printed laptop sleeves and cushion covers, fun and utility based daily stationery, amazing fragrances,dream catchers and several novel merchandise),loads of D-I-Y supplies and inspiration(Wine bottles, lights, bulb, planters, chalkboards, colorful and printed frames, fun printed cards, floral headbands, lighted cages and so many more!)Some stalls that caught our attention were Flintstop,2 A.M Store,Pink moustache man,Sky Goodies,Madish,Gia Bath Body and Works,Thinkpot,Queen of Hearts &The Chalk Co.

We were lucky to hear and discover some legit  live music by Prateek Kuhaad filled with happy and fresh summer  tunes followed by soulful music accompanied with  Sarangi(Pagal song rendition of Coke Studio fame) by Winit Tikoo(on vocals) and Shah Rukh Khan and  spotted Raghu Dixit as well!(we missed his performance though )

Over all we had an engaging, self indulgent and  fun filled Friday evening  at the flea and we share with you our glimpse of the flea and start our weekend on a super happy and inspired note humming away to Prateek’s songs which is definitely our this week’s music indulge!
